This role supports production activities for marine propulsion and power generation equipment. Responsibilities
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials products. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality issues are addressed through MRB and that production is supported. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess costs and responsibility for products or materials that do not meet standards. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures corrective measures meet reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Applies lean and Six-Sigma quality engineering methodologies in support of production Continuous Improvement activities. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM field with minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, root cause investigation, and manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering; OR Master’s Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, root cause investigation, and manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering. Experience developing, collecting and analyzing metrics. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems. Experience with advanced data analytics and statistical analysis methods. Mechanical Engineering experience, including inspection methodology and authoring work instructions in a manufacturing environment. Green/Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma. SAP experience in a manufacturing environment. Certified auditor. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00. This range represents a general guideline; base salary offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in VP or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
