Senior Category Manager - Midstream at bp. This role reports to the BPX Energy Lead Category Manager for Midstream & Facilities and will support the BPX Midstream team as a Procurement and Supply Chain Management Senior Category Manager. Specific categories supporting may include multiple of the following: Midstream Brownfield Construction, Powerline and Substation Construction, Midstream New Facilities Construction, Midstream Equipment, Pipeline Inspections & Maintenance, I&E PM/CMs, PSV testing, Dehydration System Filters, Inspections & IM, Rotating Equipment Purchases & Maintenance and Others as assigned. The role provides strategic, analytical and tactical support to the BPX Midstream organization and Category Team. It is responsible for developing and executing strategies for assigned categories, deploying common systems and processes for supply chain activities in designated categories, and establishing and managing supplier relationships and contract compliance. This role takes ownership of and improves the relationship with the Midstream team and delivers value by embodying BPX values and coordinating with customers, the Head of Procurement, PSCM Category and Operations teams. Key Accountabilities

As a member of the BPX PSCM Midstream & Facilities Category Team, support the Category Lead in delivering PSCM services and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners and government bodies. Ensure BPX and PSCM standards, processes and operating systems, and any local requirements, are implemented in all PSCM activities. Understand basic category management strategies, supplier management plans, including contracts. Possess foundational understanding and experience in executing category management plans, including contracting, implementing short and long-term agreements, and managing PSCM activities safely and effectively. Understand and implement category management and contracting plans. Support strategic sourcing of delegated categories. Identify PSCM risks and ensure mitigation strategies and plans are developed and implemented. Undertake due diligence in mitigating external supply risk in contract execution. Drive robust cost management and rigorous contract management controls. Lead communication related to PSCM with key stakeholders, including Business Unit functional VPs. Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, drive continuous improvement, improve safety performance and reduce operational risk. Support regular performance reviews with stakeholders and suppliers to measure supplier performance and develop plans to address performance issues. Identify and escalate disputes between stakeholders and suppliers relating to service delivery. Execute PSCM common processes, drive efficiency, continuous improvement and compliant procurement transactions across the value chain. Prioritize/support regional supplier and contract management activities (e.g., performance reviews, contract onboarding sessions, contract oversight audits). Coordinate regional PSCM representation in supplier investigations. Ensure timely follow-up on audit findings. Work closely with PSCM Category and Midstream Teams to ensure continuity of business. Accountable for delivering value contributions with Business Units and suppliers that impact lease operating expenses. Essential Education, Experience, And Job Requirements

University degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Business, Engineering/technical discipline or equivalent. High school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. 5-10 years of relevant PSCM experience supporting new construction or operations of Midstream facilities, pipelines, and/or power projects. Experience managing a high-spend strategic business category. Strong analytical and oral/written communication skills, with ability to influence and drive the PSCM agenda with internal stakeholders, and to negotiate with suppliers at Account Representative/Manager level. Strong project management skills. Working knowledge of systems such as Open Invoice, Ariba and SAP and software tools such as Excel, Access, etc. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines, cultures and geographies, across interpersonal boundaries and levels within BPX and with suppliers. Experience in programming and understanding micro and macroeconomics impact on oil field categories is helpful. Salary And Benefits

How much do we pay (Base)? $117,000 - $140,000.
