Van's Aircraft . The Director of Materials provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s supply chain, procurement, materials management, and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The Director oversees warehouse functions to ensure efficient inventory control, storage, and material flow that supports production and customer delivery requirements. This position ensures compliance with all applicable domestic and international procurement laws, regulations, and internal policies while aligning supply chain and warehouse activities with overall business objectives. Responsibilities

Leads the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business growth, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Oversees all procurement, sourcing, materials planning, logistics, and warehouse operations from initial planning through final delivery of products. Provides strategic oversight of the warehouse department, ensuring effective inventory management, material flow, and alignment with production schedules. Drives continuous improvement in supply chain and warehouse performance, including cost reduction, risk mitigation, supplier performance, and quality assurance. Establishes and manages key supplier partnerships, negotiating complex contracts and longterm agreements that support strategic objectives. Ensures compliance with U.S. and international procurement laws, industry regulations, and corporate governance policies. Monitors market conditions and industry trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities within the global supply chain. Leads resolution of supplier performance issues and contractual discrepancies; ensures supplier accountability for quality, cost, and delivery. Oversees the development and maintenance of demand planning, inventory control, warehouse, and procurement systems to optimize working capital. Oversees and provides leadership and direction to the supply chain, warehouse, and materials management teams; responsible for organizational design, talent acquisition, training, and performance management. Collaborates crossfunctionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams to support integrated business planning and operational execution. Represents the supply chain and warehouse functions in senior leadership meetings and strategic planning initiatives. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May occasionally require nights, weekends, or extended hours based on business needs. Other responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge and Skills

Proven expertise in supply chain strategy, global sourcing, warehouse operations, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. Strong knowledge of procurement practices, inventory optimization, warehouse management, and materials planning in a regulated manufacturing or aerospace environment. Deep understanding of compliance requirements related to government contracting, ITAR, FAR/DFARS, and international trade regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational development skills with the ability to build and lead highperforming teams. Strategic thinker with demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics tools. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, and warehouse management experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Seniority level
