Data Center Physical Network Operations Position Summary
The
Senior Network BPO Engineer (T3)
leads on-site data center physical network operations, supporting mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring compliance with established
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ,
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) , and
security standards . This role serves as the
technical lead , coordinating junior staff, managing escalations, and collaborating closely with network engineering teams to maintain operational continuity and delivery quality. Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee all on-site data center physical network operation and maintenance (O&M) activities, including installation, decommissioning, inspections, and emergency support. Supervise and verify quality during cable deployment, trunk optical splicing, and network rack installations. Lead daily and weekly inspection cycles (campus, manhole, and equipment) ensuring documentation accuracy and SLA adherence. Validate environmental and power acceptance standards during new build or retrofit projects. Fault and Incident Response
Serve as the primary escalation point for high-severity network incidents. Diagnose and coordinate resolution for hardware, cabling, or environmental issues. Supervise on-site emergency recovery actions including device power cycles, board reseating, and temporary fiber rerouting. Project Oversight & Quality Assurance
Review and validate horizontal cabling designs, construction plans, and acceptance reports. Ensure all physical network deliverables meet construction standardization, tag accuracy, and documentation completeness. Maintain delivery timeliness and first-time acceptance pass rates per defined quality metrics. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to T2-level engineers. Enforce process discipline and SOP compliance across shifts. Support the Site Supervisor in performance tracking, service reporting, and quarterly reviews. Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of experience in data center network operations, structured cabling, or physical network maintenance. Advanced knowledge of Layer 1–2 network infrastructure (fiber/copper cabling, patching, cross-connects). Strong familiarity with
Arista, Cisco, or Juniper
hardware environments. Experience supervising subcontractors or cabling vendors on large-scale data center projects. Ability to interpret network topology drawings and manage acceptance documentation. Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills. Certifications:
Preferred:
Advanced-level certification (e.g., CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent). Seniority level
