MID Defense Industry Analyst (All Source/MIDB)
to join our team in
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC
in support of the Defense Resources and Infrastructure Office (DRI). DRI\'s mission is to catalog and analyze military and civilian infrastructure and defense-related resources that underpin a nation\'s or group\'s military capabilities—including transportation, logistics, defense economics, energy systems, arms trade, physical vulnerability to weapon effects, defense industries, and the operational environment—to support U.S. and allied planners, targeteers, warfighters, policymakers, partners, and acquisition official.
Job Responsibilities
Conducts analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. Specific skills and experience required include: Research, review, evaluate, and integrate complex all-source intelligence data and other sources of classified and unclassified information to contribute to the production of finished intelligence pertaining to foreign defense industrial bases including military materiel production (Missile, Aviation, Naval, Ground, General Purpose: ammunition, explosives, electronics, military vehicles, etc) Prepare intelligence assessments regarding complex foreign defense industry and its capability to support combat and non-combat military operations as well as strategic industries. Identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps in information, evaluate resulting intelligence collected in response to requirements and determine analytical approach. Maintain, monitor and assure the quality of databases (MIDB/MARS) describing military industrial facilities, programs and networks. Identify significant trends within assigned subject-matter area and propose new or revised analytical projects to alert decision-makers to new developments and to meet customer requirements. Brief IC, senior policymakers/CCMD customers, and foreign partners on foreign defense industrial threats and trends. Collaborate in developing and strengthening substantive ties with other government organizations. Collaborate with other IC analysts on intelligence analysis and with collectors through analyst-assisted collection targeting. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience or 7+years of equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience with defense industries analysis or all-source intelligence analysis on military capabilities Knowledge of IC and Combatant Command environments Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience with defense industries analysis such as industrial organization, production processes, foreign weapon systems and equipment, and their associated facilities and output levels Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards Knowledge of the INDOPACOM AOR To Apply for this Position
