EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services helps clients accelerate patient impact by shaping strategic innovation priorities, improving operational efficiency, and embedding compliance across the R&D value chain (discovery, pre-clinical, clinical, translational, post-market surveillance / real-world evidence) in life sciences and healthcare settings. The opportunity: EY has a robust, purpose-driven life sciences R&D practice. This manager role will have the opportunity to lead and manage client engagements, build solutions, and innovate in the market, working with large pharma, biotechnology, academic medical centers, health systems, cancer centers, children’s hospitals, and more. You will focus on providing client services in areas including strategic planning, business transformation, organizational structure and operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, complex data analytics, research compliance and regulatory affairs, and technology implementation support. Responsibilities

Manage and support client engagement teams and work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain. Lead and contribute to client engagements across strategic planning, operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, data analytics, regulatory affairs, and technology implementation. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health, or a related field 5–7 years of relevant experience in life sciences and/or health in an R&D setting (e.g., pharma, biotech, CRO, academic medical center, cancer centers, etc.), including prior experience in a management consulting role Comprehensive understanding of key R&D functions: preclinical research, clinical trial execution/development, regulatory affairs, and quality or safety functions Experience managing complex projects or initiatives and leading teams of at least 3–5 individuals Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply structured consulting methods to complex business challenges Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with senior stakeholders Proficiency with core business tools (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) Executive presence and professionalism in client-facing settings Willingness to travel based on project requirements Ideally, you’ll also have

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in life sciences, business, public health, or related field Experience supporting R&D transformations, operating model design, or process optimization Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GxP, ICH, FDA) and compliance in R&D environments Familiarity with tools used in R&D such as CTMS What We Look For

What We Offer You

Competitive compensation and benefits; base salary ranges vary by location (e.g., general US range $128,400 to $235,300; NYC Metro/Washington State/California range $154,000 to $267,400).
