Senior Accountant role at Aston Carter. The senior accountant manages accounting records and ensures compliance with laws and regulations by following financial procedures, records, and statements. This role includes managing accounts payable and expense reimbursement resources, overseeing fixed assets, reconciling the general ledger and bank reconciliations, preparing documentation for external auditors, analyzing financial transactions for discrepancies, contributing to annual audits, reconciling accounts monthly, and managing payroll for the institution and its affiliate customers. This position also supports budget development and management reporting. Responsibilities
Assist in monthly general ledger close and financial statement preparation, ensuring timely closing within 5-7 business days of month-end. Monitor, review, and reconcile official and general ledger accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Prepare regulatory and audit reports, assist with NCUA, FRB, opinion exams/audit cycles, and resolve findings or DOR items. Perform HTM payroll and biweekly AHM/HFCU payroll entries and reconciliations, and handle monthly benefits entries and reconciliations. Manage annual capital expenditures budgeting, projections, and tracking. Manage tax-related programs primarily for employee state and federal taxes. Essential Skills
BS degree in Accounting or Finance. 7-10 years of relevant experience. Fixed asset experience. Tax experience. Analytical skills. Process optimization. Additional Skills & Qualifications
MBA/CPA preferred. Experience with SAP. Skills in accounting, financial reporting, and balance sheet management. Work Environment

Contract position based out of Torrance, California. Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
