Join the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Evolved Strategic Satellite (ESS) Mission Planning ground program. The Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Division's ESS Mission Planning ground program is a key component of the U.S. military’s NC3 network. The role involves contributing to the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to maintenance and support, with opportunities to influence project outcomes. Design, develop, and test full stack mission planning software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. Lead review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into the initial design of software products. Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Contribute to activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products. Debug and lead the resolution of issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products. Lead development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks. Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Assist in leading software project management activities and software supplier management functions. Basic Qualifications (Required)

5+ years’ experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc. Experience with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5+ years’ experience in Java/C++/Python object oriented programming on full stack software projects/programs Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JS frameworks (React, OpenLayers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, noSQL, REST/Open API Experience using dependency management (e.g. Ivy, Maven, Gradle) Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. AWS) Experience using automation server (e.g. Jenkins) Familiarity with TDD, agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management Experience with satellite ground mission capabilities, products, and/or customers Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD Active TS/SCI or TS/SAP clearance Additional Information
