JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Radiologist Tele-Radiology • Job Type: Part-Time • Location: Remote (UPMC Washington Hospital, PA) • Service Setting: Tele-Radiology • Coverage Type: Remote Diagnostic Imaging (No Procedures) • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM • Shift Volume: exams per shift

COVERAGE DETAILS

• Expected Duration: 1 2 years (to support vacation/holiday coverage) • Estimated Shifts per Month: 8 (flexible scheduling) • Tele-Radiology Workstation: Provided by UPMC Washington and shipped to provider's home • Coverage Dates: Ongoing with recurring needs across 2025 (e.g., July through December coverage dates provided)

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: 95% Adults, 5% Pediatrics • Exam Types: Combination of ED, Inpatient, and Outpatient exams • Modalities: CT, General Radiology (X-Ray/Plain Films), MRI, Ultrasound • Volume: CT comprises exams per shift (including 5 oncology studies/day) • Trauma Level: Level III (low-acuity trauma cases)

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR / PACS: Philips Enterprise 4.7 PACS • Support Team: Clerical, Technologist, and Administrative staff available • Technical Support: 24/7 IT and Radiology Informatics support • Training: PACS and dictation/reporting system training provided

COLLABORATION & CONSULTATION

• Critical Results Reporting: Radiologist must call clinicians; clerical staff assists with alerts • Peer Support: Three additional radiologists available during hours for consultation • Radiology clerical team monitors alerts and supports reporting needs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (full and emergency privileges available) • Credentialing Timeline: 30 days • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license required • Board Status: Board Certified in Radiology • Minimum Experience: 5 years post-training • DEA License: Required

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in reading CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and General Radiology exams • Comfortable with ED cases and STAT reads • Ability to report and escalate critical findings appropriately • Self-sufficient to work independently with support access as needed

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret and report imaging studies remotely for UPMC Washington • Provide coverage during scheduled shifts aligned with staffing gaps due to vacation/holiday • Communicate directly with referring clinicians for critical cases as needed • Collaborate with radiology clerical and technical staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting
