The Early Learning Coach conducts classroom observations and coaching sessions, maintains documentation to provide feedback to Teachers and Zone Managers, and collaborates with Zone Managers, Curriculum & Environments Specialist, and the Director of Early Childhood Education to ensure outcomes for teachers and children of all abilities. The role helps create an environment that supports social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development for each child, with a focus on families and communities. This position works with children who are economically disadvantaged and aims to help them prepare for success in school and life. Responsibilities
Conduct regular classroom observations and coaching sessions across centers, using program systems and tools. Maintain documentation to provide constructive feedback to Teachers and Zone Managers on educational quality. Plan and collaborate in joint sessions with Zone Managers, Curriculum & Environments Specialist, and Director of Early Childhood Education. Support teachers in achieving positive outcomes for all children, including those with diverse needs. Foster an environment that supports social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development. Qualifications
An interest in the well-being and education of young children, with enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment, and a positive spirit. Prior experience teaching and/or supervising in a Head Start setting, preferably using Creative Curriculum. Ability to clearly communicate and listen effectively to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates. A BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college or university. Code of Conduct and Compliance
