Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade storage systems that ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with storage technologies, virtualization platforms, and troubleshooting complex storage environments. Base pay range
$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, etc.) Manage and optimize storage infrastructure for performance, capacity, and reliability. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Work closely with virtualization, network, and system teams to ensure seamless data accessibility. Monitor storage environments using observability tools and proactively identify bottlenecks or failures. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues across hosts, hypervisors, and network layers. Manage multi-path I/O configurations and storage provisioning for virtual and physical environments. Maintain documentation for storage configurations, capacity planning, and system changes. Evaluate and implement new storage technologies and solutions to meet business needs. Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in enterprise storage engineering and administration. Strong knowledge of iSCSI, NFS, SAN/NAS and storage replication technologies. Experience with Linux environments and hypervisors (OLVM, VMware, KVM, etc.) Proficiency in multi-pathing, LUN management, and IO stack troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with storage observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk). Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible) for storage operations. Understanding of data protection, snapshots, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) or similar platforms. Exposure to cloud storage services (AWS EBS/S3, Azure Blob, GCP Storage). Knowledge of ZFS, Ceph, NetApp, Dell EMC, or Pure Storage systems. Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), NetApp Certified Data Administrator, or Dell EMC Proven Professional. Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
