We are currently seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial stability as the right arm to our CEO. As a VP of Finance, you will oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting, financial reporting, and compliance processes. This role requires a hands-on financial leader who can manage day-to-day accounting operations while providing strategic financial insight to ownership and senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting, while ensuring accurate union payroll reporting, fringe benefit contributions, and compliance with union requirements. Complete Daily/Monthly Accounting Operations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee and manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making, while identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and labor laws specific to union subcontractors. Partner with project managers to provide expertise on accurate job cost tracking, project profitability analysis, and financial forecasting. Be a part of the leadership team to provide strategic financial insight – focusing on the future stability of the organization. Coordinate/Assist annual audits, tax filings, and external financial reviews. Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements to safeguard company assets. Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction, subcontracting, or a job-cost environment. 2+ years of in-house payroll experience. Advanced/Intermediate Excel knowledge. Strong knowledge of union payroll and reporting requirements. Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Ability to mentor and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume position. Strong stress-management skillset. Preferred experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Foundation). Proven ability to delegate and develop a team of people. What We Offer
