Overview

Director of Food Safety Quality Assurance. This role leads food safety and quality operations across the plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols. The Director will drive initiatives to enhance product integrity, support continuous improvement, and lead a team of QA professionals in delivering consistent, high-quality results. Base pay range

$165,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Leading food safety and quality assurance programs across the manufacturing site. Acting as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections and third-party audits. Conducting internal audits, environmental testing, and sanitation evaluations. Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and pest control protocols. Supporting continuous improvement through quality walkthroughs and food safety initiatives. Overseeing HACCP, HARPC, SSOPs, allergen control, and product specification adherence. Managing training programs for QA staff, including annual food safety certifications. Maintaining accurate documentation in line with internal and external standards. Verifying quality and safety of incoming and outgoing materials. Investigating customer feedback and implementing corrective actions with production teams. Collaborating with R&D and corporate teams on product development and raw material assessments. Providing feedback to suppliers to improve product consistency and resolve quality issues. Supporting Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification and compliance efforts. Supervising and developing the QA team, conducting performance reviews and coaching. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field with 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance. Employment details
