Pay Details The Kennedy Center strives to design equitable compensation programs. The projected pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This is the targeted range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Base pay within the range is determined by a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
Job Description The Manager of Digital Strategy will plan, execute, and evaluate all campaigns for the Kennedy Center, National Symphony Orchestra, and Washington National Opera Membership programs. Responsibilities include overseeing donor services, systems and policies related to donor benefits and ticketing, and customer service. The role also involves developing, implementing, and evaluating digital fundraising campaigns, marketing, and communications for the development office across email, web, social media, CMS management, and other platforms. Manage the Tessitura database for the Annual Giving office.
Key Responsibilities
Independently develop, execute, and track digital fundraising efforts for all contributed income. Collaborate with development managers and directors to plan and implement digital fundraising and marketing campaigns on all digital platforms, including web-based giving, social media, and e-communication. Manage web presence/CMS and e-commerce for the Development department. Stay current with new technologies to keep the Center at the forefront of fundraising.
Develop, execute, and track integrated campaigns to raise approximately $3 million annually and grow Membership files for Kennedy Center, NSO, and WNO. Coordinate a high volume of campaigns and ensure accurate tracking in the Tessitura database.
Support event tracking for events such as Honors, Mark Twain, and Special Events.
Track progress of Membership campaigns weekly/monthly and provide reports to leadership. Conduct mid-campaign adjustments as needed.
Manage the budget for the Annual Giving office.
Provide donor customer service on an ongoing basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required. Five-plus years of experience preferred, including direct mail campaign management, donor relations, and digital fundraising techniques. Tessitura experience preferred.
Proven ability to act with tact and diplomacy when dealing with diverse stakeholders and Center leadership.
Ability to manage multiple detailed projects concurrently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Proven ability to work well in team settings and independently.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Local to the DMV area or willingness to relocate (relocation assistance not provided).
Willingness to work onsite.
