Senior Cyber Recovery Architect

is a member of the Cyber Recovery Operations team that manages and operates the Elevance Health Cyber Recovery Environment. The Cyber Recovery Environment consists of hardware and software platforms used to recover the most critical business functions in the event of a malware or ransomware attack. This role provides ongoing cyber recovery operations support as a Cyber Recovery Architect and subject matter expert (SME). You will solve problems, perform analysis, research, and test functions for systems and networks. Responsibilities

Provides second level engineering design functions. Develops complex solutions from business requirements and architectural specifications. Creates presentations and seeks IT management's approval and acceptance of significant replacements or reconfigurations of major business systems serving a business unit or location. Directs the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture). Consults with application leaders to verify applications/technology conform to architecture standards. Sets vendor strategy and direction; oversees adherence. Designs and engineers comprehensive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards; works with architecture to update technology direction and strategy. Researches relevant trends and activities in healthcare, business, competition and regulatory environments; recommends strategy adjustments. Serves as technical merger and acquisition lead as needed. Set and execute Cyber Recovery platform strategy, including objectives, plans, and policies to develop and deliver innovative solutions and systems in support of enterprise Cyber Recovery goals. Coordinate with decision makers and other SMEs to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective Cyber Recovery technology solutions. Drive decisions that impact quality, availability, and effectiveness of Cyber Recovery solutions. Support the development of Cyber Recovery standards and operational procedures. Develop Cyber Recovery guides. Provide governance and oversight of the cyber vaults and isolated recovery environments. Initiate and implement continuous improvements in the Cyber Recovery environment, including automation of complex tasks and delivery of cyber recovery-related services. Be a Cyber Recovery thought leader within Elevance Health and partner with others in the organization to deepen relationships and set and manage expectations associated with Cyber Recovery capabilities. Support internal and external audit and compliance efforts. Minimum Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years experience in information systems, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management; significant experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Experiences And Competencies

Understanding of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and protocols. Broad IT Infrastructure knowledge to include Servers, Virtualization, Storage, Load Balancers, etc. Knowledge of encryption methods and how to apply them effectively. Familiarity with security assessment tools, anti-virus, DLP, SIEM systems, and EDR platforms. Experience with securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix security features and configurations. Experience in Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling Background and skill in designing secure infrastructure and system architecture. Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001. Strong ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work effectively across various teams and departments. CISSP, CISM, TOGAF or other related certifications a plus. Note
