Description THE ARGONAUT HOTEL offers a welcoming environment where banquet events are supported by the food and beverage team. The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for setting up, cleaning and maintaining meeting and banquet rooms following the standards of service as set by hotel management.
Responsibilities
Properly clean and set meeting rooms and banquet functions per specifications on resume and BEOs or as given by Food and Beverage management including vacuuming floors and cleaning walls and windows/mirrors.
Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, dance floor is required.
Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies such as linen, pads, pens/pencils, decorations, and candy, etc. are required.
Service every meeting room by emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replace as necessary.
On a continuous basis, keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed. Upon customer request, locate and deliver convention material to designated location.
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Support banquet server staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bussing stations.
Close dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Perform other duties as requested, such as moving office furniture and cleaning carpet and chairs.
Relay any problem situations or damaged areas to Banquet Management in a timely manner for immediate action.
Qualifications
Previous experience in banquet house attendant is preferred. We can teach you the skills, you bring personality!
Work well in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Able to accommodate a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/or holidays; AM/PM shifts
Outside-of-the-box thinker who takes the initiative to creatively solve problems.

Call to Action While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The team member must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and able to safely lift and easily maneuver plates, cases of water, chairs and dining room tables.
