Overview
Title: Senior Financial Analyst FLSA Status: Exempt Employment Status: Full-Time Location: 3815 Latrobe Dr, Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office) Position Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst provides strategic financial support to Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, developing complex financial models and forecasts, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting and planning. The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams on a variety of financial priorities and contributes to the organization’s mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Essential Functions
Assist the Vice President of Finance in coordinating and managing the annual budget process. Prepare monthly financial forecasts, with an emphasis on cash flow forecasting. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. Perform monthly variance analysis in collaboration with organizational leaders. Develop financial models to support business initiatives, including neighborhood development projects and new program initiatives. Analyze financial data, identify trends and patterns, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and senior leadership. Review and analyze construction activities to monitor costs and update forecasts. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including organization-wide financial statements and department-level P&L statements. Support the month-end close process. Assist with the annual financial audit and other audits as required. Recommend improvements to accounting processes and financial reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional financial experience as a Financial Analyst or in a comparable role. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting tools. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general accounting/database software. Experience with Sage Intacct, Martus, Power Query, and Power BI is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with employees, volunteers, vendors, and board members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior supervisory experience in a financial role is a plus. Consistent and reliable attendance. Represent Habitat positively and professionally. Adhere to Habitat’s Code of Conduct and organizational policies. Work Environment
Primarily indoor, office-based environment with hybrid work (2–3 days/week in office). Physical Demands
