Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner

Growing rheumatology team in the northern Chicago area is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their practice! This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with two outstanding fellowship-trained rheumatologists and receive hands-on training, all while enjoying a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no call and no weekends. Ideal candidates will have ties to the northern Chicago area and have experience working in rheumatology, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics, or other relevant specialties and have infusion (IV therapy) experience. Responsibilities Full-time permanent position - Rheumatology, Infusion (IV Therapy) Monday-Friday schedule No weekends, no call, no nights 100% outpatient clinic setting Work alongside two fellowship-trained rheumatologists, physician assistant, and excellent clinic support staff Assist with examinations, treatments, injections, infusion therapy, etc. Peripheral venipuncture and phlebotomy Assessment and monitoring of patients vitals signs during infusion therapy Educate patients regarding IV therapy and treatment plans Conditions include: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Autoimmune Diseases, Lupus, Osteoporosis, Paget's Disease, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Connective Tissue Disease, Muscle Inflammation, Fibromyalgia, Vasculitis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Scleroderma Qualifications: Illinois Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License DEA License Previous experience working in rheumatology, primary care, internal medicine, orthopedics, or other relevant fields Pervious experience working infusion therapy Clinical rotations in rheumatology or other relevant fields Fluent in Spanish (preferred) Benefits: Competitive base salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Short term and long term disability insurance 401(k) with profit sharing PTO and paid holidays $1500 CME and 5 additional days off Malpractice insurance, membership dues, license renewal fees, phone reimbursement
