Consultant, Containerization and Cloud-native Technologies- FSI at Red Hat. Remote in the U.S. or Canada. The role focuses on implementing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and accelerating customers' application modernization and DevOps journeys through hands-on delivery and knowledge sharing. What You Will Do

Work as a hands-on implementer for Red Hat OpenShift projects, executing technical tasks to achieve project milestones defined by the project architect and manager. Collaborate directly with customer project teams to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. Assist in enabling customer teams by sharing best practices for building and operating a robust container platform. Troubleshoot technical challenges related to the platform, networking, storage, and application integration. Contribute to project documentation, including deployment guides, automation runbooks, and architectural diagrams. Assist customers in integrating OpenShift with their existing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes. What You Will Bring

3+ years in a hands-on technology role, such as consulting, site reliability engineering (SRE), or platform operations. 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or upstream Kubernetes in enterprise environments. Solid experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and troubleshooting. Experience with automation tools like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, or Helm. A good understanding of CI/CD principles and practical experience with tools like Jenkins, Tekton, or ArgoCD. Experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Nice to Have

Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Application Development, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Experience with software-defined networking (SDN), particularly OVN-Kubernetes, and enterprise networking concepts (VLANs, Load Balancers, Firewalls). Familiarity with container-native storage technologies like Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation, Ceph, or Portworx. Experience with container security best practices and tools, such as Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (ACS) or other scanners. Knowledge of observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and log aggregation solutions like the EFK/ELK stack. Experience deploying and managing OpenShift on various infrastructures, including bare metal, VMware vSphere, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or public clouds. Familiarity with OpenShift Virtualization and managing virtual machines alongside containers. What Your First Year Will Look Like

Within 2 months: complete an intensive, customized training program and be prepared to join a project team, having mastered OpenShift best practices and consulting methodologies. Within 6 months: be a key technical contributor on customer projects, delivering automation solutions with the Red Hat portfolio. Within 12 months: demonstrate technical leadership by implementing complex OpenShift solutions and sharing expertise with internal and external communities of practice. Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $113,500.00 - $181,440.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency: Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including location, experience, skills, training, external market value, and internal pay equity. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For Remote-US locations, the actual salary range may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and experience. About Red Hat
