Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines to support AI-based biological models. Convert research scripts into production-quality code, implementing robust testing, documentation, and deployment workflows. Create automated workflows to process complex biological datasets (e.g., genomic or proteomic data). Collaborate with research scientists and AI engineers to meet evolving model training needs. Innovate pipeline architectures to enhance scalability, performance, and efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in bioinformatics or data pipeline development. Strong programming ability in Python. Expertise in functional genomics (e.g., RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, whole genome, etc.). Practical experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) and tools like Nextflow, Snakemake, Airflow, Luigi, or WDL. Documented contributions (e.g., publications) in genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, or related fields. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Broad technical ability and flexibility to contribute across engineering infrastructure. Experience with bioinformatics tools such as BLAST, HMMER, Bowtie2, STAR, Kallisto, STARsolo, DESeq2, SAMtools, GATK, AlphaFold, Biopython. Familiarity with large-scale genomic data (especially NGS), and contributions to open-source bioinformatics or data projects. Seniority level
