FOX News is seeking a dynamic and organized Producer to join the new weekend program The Sunday Briefing, airing Sundays at 11am ET. The Producer will take an editorial lead in writing, planning, and guest pitching, for a show tackling all facets of the White House beat. You will work with the top White House Correspondents in the industry, pitching compelling story ideas, securing top-tier guests, and collaborating with the rest of the show team. As a Producer, you have excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of national politics, write with urgency and brevity, deliver substantial news in a highly produced environment, and quickly turn around breaking news. You will be offered the following shift: Wednesday - Sunday. A Snapshot of Responsibilities
Use your knowledge of current events, national politics, and strong editorial judgment to pitch newsmaker and informative guest interviews Lead booking for the show Actively seek out fresh elements for story selection, including compelling sound, new video, and strong graphics to illustrate the story Use your control room experience to help execute a seamless show on air, including formatting program rundowns and communicating effectively with technical staff What You Will Need
5+ years of political reporting in a broadcast, print, or digital work environment Exceptional editorial judgment Strong communication and writing skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize daily, especially in breaking news situations Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, including regular weekend work Willingness to travel when necessary Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
