The Opportunity

Responsible for providing financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the bank’s credit products and services to middle market and other business clients and prospects. Monitors assigned credit relationships for covenant compliance, collateral monitoring, and credit deterioration as applicable. Conducts annual reviews of loans and identifies risk rating changes. Keeps apprised of industry-related, political, and regulatory issues to determine their impact on specific industries or clients. Acts independently from sales teams to structure and evaluate credit requests. Determines the credit worthiness of the borrower and recommends credit decisions to Credit Administration. Performs all duties in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. How You’ll Make a Difference

Independently evaluates and structures lower complexity credit requests, including asset-based lending, term loans, and commercial real estate loans. Performs independent credit analysis and risk assessment of new and existing credit requests, including analysis of financial statements and third-party reports such as property appraisals. With Relationship Manager, drafts loan documents prepared by outside counsel or in-house counsel. Recommends credit actions by preparing the Credit Approval Report (CAR) for Credit Administration decisioning. Collaborates with Loan Administration to obtain due diligence, perform risk rating reviews, and monitor covenant compliance. Reviews Letters of Interest (LOIs) and ensures consistency between loan documents and CAM. May participate in joint customer calls to assess client needs and management. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures; completes mandatory trainings. Maintains knowledge of appraisals, borrowing base reports, and collateral exams; completes required reports (PLSRs) with guidance. Identifies and monitors Borrower risk ratings in accordance with the Bank’s Risk Rating Policies. Upholds professional values and maintains ethical standards and a diverse, inclusive workplace. What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; formal credit training and/or Intermediate/Financial Accounting courses preferred. Understanding of lending, cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, and loan structuring. Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, FHA, HMDA, RESPA, FCRA, BSA/AML, CIP, RFPA, CRA) and bank policies. Strong computer skills (MS Office); advanced math skills and ability to interpret financial data and pricing. Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills; capable of presenting analysis and recommendations.
