Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner Job with Ascension in Indianapolis, IN Specialty: Women's Health Advanced Practice Provider Schedule: 36 hours per week Call Schedule: None Practice Detail: Women's Health OBED program at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis EMR System: CPN, SCN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Women & Infants Hospital Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Responsibilities

Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Join the OBED team at our Women & Infants Hospital in a Level IV Perinatal Care Center with 24/7 OB ED staffing and 12-hour shifts (average 3 shifts per week), including nights and weekends. Requirements

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire date or job transfer date.
