Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Integrated Care Center - Full Time
HealthRIGHT 360 provides integrated care including primary medical care, mental health services, and substance use disorder treatment. The Integrated Care Center Clinic offers primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, and dental care to populations including individuals experiencing homelessness and chronic health conditions. This role works in an integrated, team-based setting and reports to a Dentist.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality dental hygiene care within the scope of service in accordance with standards of care.
Evaluate patients and implement treatment regimens under the general supervision of the Dentist.
Document all findings, treatments, and outcomes.
Initiate oral health education and prevention activities; review and interpret patient dental records.
Collaborate with Dental Program staff and support the smooth operation of the Dental Program; participate in ongoing evaluation to ensure high-quality, financially sustainable services.
Prepare patient care areas and assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and routine office duties as required.
Assist in emergency measures for sudden adverse events during treatment.
Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist during tests, procedures, and complex treatments as needed.
Take impressions for study casts; document dental history and patient reactions; coordinate follow-up as appropriate.
Participate in Quality Improvement activities as requested by the Dentist/Clinical Dental.
Qualifications
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) from an accredited program with a current license to practice in California.
Current First Aid & CPR certification.
Pursues CEUs to maintain licensure and stay current with advances in dentistry, especially in dental hygiene.
Must complete background check and Livescan.
Covid-19 vaccine and booster is required for this position (exemptions not accepted).
