Overview
The Department of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position for Associate Director of the Immunogenetics Laboratory. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and medical staff appointments in The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The successful applicant will assist with the clinical, technical, educational, and administrative functions of the laboratory and develop a clinical research program in collaboration with the Immunogenetics faculty and Johns Hopkins transplant physicians and surgeons. The Immunogenetics Laboratory provides clinical histocompatibility testing for programs in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and various organ transplant programs. Responsibilities
Assist with clinical, technical, educational, and administrative functions of the Immunogenetics Laboratory. Develop and lead a clinical research program in collaboration with Immunogenetics faculty and Johns Hopkins transplant teams. Collaborate with Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bayview Medical Center staff to support transplantation services. Qualifications
MD or PhD degree. Fellow or eligible to be a fellow of the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI). Must meet or be eligible to meet CMS requirements for technical supervisor, clinical consultant, and laboratory director in histocompatibility. Application Instructions
