Overview
BAS Project Engineer for Schneider Electric's Digital Buildings organization, based in Atlanta. The role focuses on Building Automation System (BAS) project coordination, safety, software checkout, commissioning, and software troubleshooting, ensuring daily on-site project activities are completed. You will have the opportunity to develop and refine your technical and leadership skills while contributing to the Schneider Electric brand in the marketplace. This position is collaborative, organized, customer-focused, and problem-solving oriented, with a passion for driving innovation in building automation. Responsibilities
Ensure design engineer activity aligns with the latest conformed construction documents prior to installation. Modify and update design drawings and maintain red-line documents. Collaborate with the project manager and procurement on purchasing activity and monitor budget risks. Ensure materials are delivered to site or subcontractors for installation. Validate hardware and project installation meet design requirements. Diagnose communication problems, troubleshoot, and track software and hardware issues. Participate in field quality control or safety audits and review analyses and results. Coordinate with on-site contractors for equipment installation based on shop drawings. Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors during installation. Coordinate and address issues during installation phase independently. Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phase and provide feedback for manpower requirements. Contribute to a complete operation-to-service turnover process. Responsible for overall system functionality and performance. Set up outside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites. On Some Days
Re-commission devices, equipment, and software as required. Assist the PM in material procurement. Ensure installation tracking sheets are updated regularly. Prepare customer training manuals and provide customized training. Qualifications
4+ years’ experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge. Demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades. Experience with HVAC and security installations. Proficiency in all types of building systems and application of our technology. Proven experience coordinating project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers. About Schneider Electric and Application
