Overview
Director, External Affairs at Stellantis is responsible for the development and implementation of political and legislative strategies to promote Stellantis’ interests, in close coordination with the Corporate Affairs team. Primary focus is developing Congressional and Administration support for key Stellantis priorities by engaging with members of Congress, Congressional staff, Committees of Jurisdiction, and Administration officials to communicate Stellantis positions on federal issues. Build and maintain relationships with federal representatives of Stellantis facilities and support interactions between government officials and Stellantis leadership. Collaborate with internal business units and the Corporate Affairs team to provide early warning on legislative and Executive developments, keep management informed of potential impacts to Stellantis, and develop Stellantis policies with persuasive arguments and data. Coordinate with trade associations, NGOs, and others to ensure advocacy aligns with Stellantis policy priorities. Draft Congressional testimony and position papers to convey Stellantis positions. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with federal representatives of Stellantis facilities and facilitate interactions between government officials and Stellantis leadership. Coordinate with internal business units and the Corporate Affairs team to provide early warning on legislative and Executive branch developments. Keep management informed of potential policy impacts and develop Stellantis policies with supporting data and persuasive arguments. Coordinate with trade associations, NGOs, and others to harmonize advocacy with Stellantis policy priorities. Draft Congressional testimony and position papers. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required 8–10 years of experience working in Congress or Congressional relations Knowledge of the legislative process Experience in automotive/manufacturing policy issues Benefits
