Summary of Position

Provides friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Performs duties to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment as directed by the Manager on Duty. Controls the flow of business in the dining room to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Checks out guests at the register and provides genuine hospitality to ensure a highly satisfactory dining experience.

Position Activities and Tasks

• Host activities and guest interaction
• Arrive well-groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, practicing good personal hygiene at all times
• Open the door for guests entering and leaving
• Use greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures to seat guests promptly, either in person or via telephone
• Anticipate and correct system issues to maximize guest satisfaction
• Complete wait sheets
• Greet and seat guests, describe features and specials, and make a positive first impression
• Check out guests at the register, inquire about their experience, thank them, and invite them to return
• Move through the dining room to assist guests, ensuring their needs are met
• Sell bakery items and package to-go orders efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier area, bakery cases, displays, lobby, entryway, restrooms, and dining room
• Ensure menus are clean

Assist Crew Members

• Process To-Go orders
• Assist servers with pre-bussing and maintaining guest needs
• Sweep floors and assist with side work during downtime
• Support servers and bus persons to uphold service standards
• Strive for 100% guest satisfaction on every visit
• Communicate with management about issues and propose solutions
