Compensation: $150k/yr + bonus
Position Summary VIP Executive Search is seeking a Director of Sales, North America to lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for the North American market. This executive will provide leadership and management of sales in the region, drive revenue growth, and work closely with the Sales Management team to achieve overall sales targets, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions Directly responsible for sales revenue in the North American market
Develop and implement sales strategies using a disciplined and structured sales management process
Manage performance, mentor, and develop the sales management and administrative team to achieve sales targets
Model company culture and demonstrate leadership in setting objectives to meet overall business goals
Train and develop brokers and independent dealers to ensure sales objectives are met
Develop sales opportunities through strategic partners and expansion of dealer networks
Research territories to identify new dealerships and expand the dealer network
Collaborate with dealers to develop sales plans and strategies
Manage dealer assignments and annual sales targets
Work closely with Marketing to improve lead management programs (CRM)
Develop strategies for lead generation and implement processes for handling and managing leads
Develop metrics for tracking results of the lead management process
Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
Collaborate with Marketing on strategy, events, advertising, digital media, social media, and related initiatives
Develop and implement strategies for expanding the customer base and maintaining key customer relationships
Promote a philosophy of outstanding customer service
Work with After Sales & Services Team to support excellent customer service
Foster high-level customer relations across the sales team
Forecast sales plans and determine inventory requirements
Select and configure yachts for inventory, with detailed specifications
Communicate annual sales plans and forecasts to the sales team, generate excitement, and support sales planning
Job Specifications Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field
Experience
Minimum of 5-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge and expertise in yachts and the marine industry
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and excellent interpersonal communication skills
Proven track record of achieving sales results
Experience building and leading sales teams and setting performance standards
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and achieve results through others
Strategic thinker with ability to plan over a 1–5-year time span
Excellent organizational and multi-priority management skills
Skilled in problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels
Proficiency with computer use and MS Office Suite
Ability to provide employee training and development
Ability to travel locally and internationally at least 75% of the time
Work conducted indoors and outdoors meeting with clients, yacht captains, shipyards, and ports, including inspections on floating barges
Operation of standard office equipment such as copy machines and laptops
Requires effective communication skills including speaking, listening, comprehension, sight, typing, and writing
Physical Abilities Walking, standing, climbing stairways, pushing, and lifting up to 30 pounds
