Overnight Staff Pharmacist, Amazon Pharmacy — Amazon

We are seeking a Pharmacist to help make it easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to stay healthy.

This role requires hands-on involvement in the operation, including dispensing medications and managing the full prescription fulfillment process from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include filling, verifying, and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications.

Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of customer profiles in PharmacyOS
  • Initial prescription order processing and verification
  • Prescription transfer coordination
  • New prescription acquisition and processing
  • Focus on system-based verification and documentation

Schedules

Fri - Mon, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00pm

Wed - Sat, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00pm

M, T, W, Th, F, 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00pm

Key job responsibilities

  • Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure all produced packet and bulk sets undergo a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure production relative to new business lines undergoes a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end
  • Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and canister approval
  • Answer clinical questions, provide clinical guidance
  • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting
  • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to the distribution team
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules and regulations
  • Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD; Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in VA and others upon request. Additional licenses may be required if domicile state differs from state of employment
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient care
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Warehouse work, including the ability to lift 20 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in LTC or retail setting
  • Excellent communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $161,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
