Job Summary and Qualifications
You will do in this role:
- You will promote consistent and positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
- You will perform specimen collection while following the established policies and procedures of the Clinical Laboratory.
- You will instruct patients on proper specimen collection procedures.
- You will work efficiently and communicate effectively under stressful conditions and time constraints.
- You must maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information.
- You will practice good infection control by hand washing, wearing personal protective equipment, for the protection of patient and self while maintaining a neat, well-kept work area.
Qualifications
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy certificate preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: One year hospital experience (including venipuncture) preferred
- Familiarity with a hospital laboratory is desired. Medical terminology preferred
