We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer with a strong focus on Performance Testing and additional expertise in Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like JMeter and LoadRunner, and a proven track record of leading performance testing engagements. This role requires a deep understanding of performance engineering principles, including load modeling, test strategy, and log analysis. Familiarity with automation tools such as Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured is a strong plus.
Your role
- Performance Testing (Primary Focus)
- Define and drive performance test strategy, scope, and approach for complex systems.
- Lead performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Conduct load modeling, capacity planning, and workload distribution analysis.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
- Review and interpret application, server, and database logs to support root cause analysis.
- Mentor and guide performance test engineers and ensure best practices are followed.
- Automation Testing (Secondary Focus)
- Design and implement automation frameworks for API and UI testing.
- Develop and maintain test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage across releases.
Your Skills And Experience
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in performance testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
- Proficient in performance test planning, execution, and analysis.
- Experience in log analysis, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured for automation testing.
- Strong understanding of testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
