Responsibilities

• Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
• Load and unload cargo on and off aircraft.
• Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and carts to pick up and deliver cargo between the terminal, warehouse, and aircraft.
• Sort and load cargo.
• Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service.
• Perform aircraft push back, wing walking, and related guide man functions.
• Maintain a secure work environment.
• May be assigned to routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment.
• May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of the facility and report security breaches or non-compliance per site security plan.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Valid Driver's license, must be maintained throughout employment
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols
• Fluently read, write, and speak English
• This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU)

• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
• Effective communication with others

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work in inclement weather
