Overview

BizTek People is in search for an experienced Receptionist for our client in Houston, TX!

Schedule: In office, 5 days 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Responsibilities

  • Meet & Greet Visitors
    • Welcome all guests with a warm and professional demeanor
    • Notify host(s) upon arrival and maintain the visitor log
    • Escort guests to meeting rooms as needed
    • Offer refreshments such as water, coffee, or tea
    • Develop a strong understanding of the organization, including key leadership members and their executive assistants
  • Manage Conference Center Reservations & Logistics
    • Maintain knowledge of all conference room names, seating capacities, and locations
    • Oversee bookings for client-facing conference rooms using sound judgment
    • Coordinate with administrative staff for catering needs and vendor follow-ups
    • Ensure conference rooms remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready
    • Serve as a liaison with departments such as security, facilities, IT, multimedia, and mail services
  • Administrative Support
    • Register visitors through the building’s security system
    • Perform light administrative tasks (e.g., data entry, scanning, filing)
    • Receive mail, sign for packages, and manage messenger requests
    • Provide backup assistance to the administrative team as needed, including travel and expense support

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in financial services or a corporate setting
  • Consistently maintains a positive, professional attitude
  • Demonstrates adaptability and effective conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills in a dynamic environment
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and attention to detail

Education

High School Diploma required
