Overview

We are seeking a skilled Contract Hardware Engineer (Mid-level) to join our on-site team in Carson, CA. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional engineering teams to design, analyze, and test electronic hardware for high-reliability aerospace and industrial products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into hardware requirements and interface control documents.
• Perform SPICE analysis, modeling with MATLAB/Simulink, and control algorithm generation.
• Lead schematic design, component selection, PCB layout/input, circuit simulation, and prototype validation.
• Conduct hardware bring-up, verification, and documentation for new and existing products.
• Own functional test procedures and support engineering changes, quality, and continuous improvement projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate cross-team technical communication.

Required Skills

• 10-15+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
• Proficiency with tools like Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, Mentor Graphics.
• Strong experience with SPICE simulation, MATLAB/Simulink, and PCB design.
• Knowledge of EMI filter and DC-DC converter design, aerospace reliability standards (RTCA/DO-254, DO-160).
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging, validation, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, ARINC, SPI, RS-232).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
