Texas ACE 21st CCLC Site Coordinator

Wage/Hour Status: $64,350 | Full-Time

Reports To: Texas ACE 21st CCLC Program Director

Days: Salary/Exempt, 225 / At Will

School Hiring: Jubilee Highland Hills

Length of Term: Grant Based, 1-year, up to 5 years

Funding Source: TEA - Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant

Position Mission

Directs/manages overall daily operations of the 21st CCLC site. Plans, implements, hires, supervises, and evaluates all staff, programs, and activities to help students strive to improve in academics, attendance, behavior, promotion rates, and graduation rates, specifically for the 21st Century Community Learning Center program at the campus site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. College coursework in education/youth issues
  • Possess current certificates and be able to perform CPR and medical First Aid (or be willing to be certified upon hire).
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Texas Teaching Certification (preferred)

Experience

  • Preferred two years of management experience with a federally funded out-of-school program, preferably TX ACE 21st CCLC.
  • Experience with coordinating enrichment programs and tutorial programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with others and provide leadership to youth and adults
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision, facilities management, and recruitment /retention.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing applications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate Site programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and create a 21st CCLC environment that facilitates achievement of strategic outcomes.
  • Strongly communicate (verbally and in writing) with the campus-appropriate administrator(s) on the progress and future direction of the program.
  • Recruit, manage, and provide career development opportunities for site staff and volunteers.
  • Complete site instructor agreements, observe classes, monitor work performance, determine workloads, establish work schedules, conduct performance evaluations, perform training functions, and maintain records.
  • Follow district protocols for management of expenses related to the 21st CCLC program, including staff payroll, required documentation, and supplies.
  • Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations to support parent education workshops.
  • Project manage high caliber program activities for students and parents to target family engagement and college and career readiness.
  • Develop and maintain public relations and recruitment efforts to increase the visibility of programs, services, and the number of children participating in activities within the 21st CCLC and the community per grant compliance.
  • Communicate with external community groups, schools, members’ parents, and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the 21st CCLC.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and implement academic, social, and emotional curriculum.
  • Manage and distribute qualitative and quantitative data (FERPA compliant) including surveys, participation logs, activity logs, training activities, sign-in sheets, and pre/post performance comparisons.
  • Coordinate program evaluations.
  • Coordinate family workshop activities monthly at every site.
  • Present campus program impact report during regional campus board meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Resource Management

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and control expenditures against budget.
  • In charge of purchasing and inventory for grant-related purchases.
  • Monitor and report expenditures in adherence with the assigned overall budget.
  • Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the 21st CCLC, including the use of facilities by outside groups.
  • Inventory all purchased equipment/materials according to grant regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Development

  • Develop staff skills in program development and implementation, outcome management, membership development, and Board development (as required).
  • Conduct meetings to inform staff of changes in programming, to gain input
  • Support team members by providing implementation training and strategies for an efficient and effective extended-day learning program.
  • Collaborates with campus administration, counselors, teachers, and parents to maximize student academic achievement.
  • Participate in program assessment through data methods aligned to performance measures including collecting program- and student-level data.
  • Create an action plan for improvement and sustainability.
  • Actively participates in professional development to stay abreast of best practices for extended learning programs.
  • Actively participates in supporting and building strong, positive school culture and learning environments.
  • Effectively supports students by referring to school counselors as needed to address personal and academic needs.
  • Complies with applicable District, state, local/federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Reports to work on time and is reliable for regular and overtime work as needed. Regular attendance is essential.
