Under general direction of the Branch Chief, Office of Hiring Services, a Staff Services Manager I, the Classification and Hiring Analyst provides technical guidance to managers and supervisors regarding current personnel issues, policy and procedure changes, and policy implementation. The incumbent demonstrates a positive attitude and a commitment to providing quality service that is accurate, timely and exceeds our customers' expectations.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Desirable Qualifications
- Understanding of labor laws, and HR policies to ensure accurate analysis and policy interpretation.
- Ability to clearly present complex information and insights to HR teams, executives, and other stake holders, both verbally and in writing.
- Precision in handling sensitive data and the ability to identify patterns or issues to propose effective solutions.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive employee data and HR information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, HR staff, and management to gather insights, understand needs, and drive HR initiative.
