Job Description And Duties Under general direction of the Branch Chief, Office of Hiring Services, the Classification and Hiring Analyst provides technical guidance to managers and supervisors regarding current personnel issues, policy and procedure changes, and policy implementation. The incumbent demonstrates a positive attitude and a commitment to providing quality service that is accurate, timely and exceeds our customers\' expectations.
Work with experienced managers, analysts, and technicians.
Flexible schedules, including alternate workweek and telework.
Mentoring programs for analysts with top executives; formal class training with no extra fees charged per participation.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, using technology to streamline processes.
Strong focus on growth and promotions within the team.
Eligibility and Qualifications Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst exam. For those without current eligibility, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible. To apply for the exam, use CalCareers and search by the classification title.
