The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online tutors. As a High School Level American History Tutor, you’ll set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning—from home.

What We Offer

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects; you can earn up to $40/hour with the same student.
• Paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own hours; tutor as much as you’d like.
• Remote tutoring using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Matched with students suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• AI-powered Tutor Copilot enhances sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• We handle logistics—you invoice for sessions and we handle payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in High School Level American History and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
