Position Summary
The Lobby Attendant ensures the cleanliness, functionality, and welcoming atmosphere of the lobby area. A key focus is on maintaining and monitoring the food and snack station, assisting customers with their needs, restocking supplies, and maintaining accurate restock logs. This role is integral in delivering an exceptional guest experience through attentive service and attention to detail.
Please note this is a 3-month, temporary role based in Teterboro, NJ.
Compensation Data
The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range for this non-exempt position will be as follows: $19 - $22 hourly.
Operational Hours
Aviation operates on a dynamic schedule—things can change fast, and our success depends on team members who can adapt. We are looking for team members who thrive in a dynamic, around-the-clock operation and are open to working a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the operation, customers, and crews.
- We formally operate 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Main Responsibilities
- Food and Snack Station Management: Monitor the food and snack station throughout the day to ensure it remains fully stocked, clean, and organized; restock items promptly, including beverages, snacks, condiments, utensils, and napkins; ensure all food items meet quality standards and are within expiration dates; maintain a daily restock log; coordinate with the purchasing or kitchen team to request additional supplies as needed.
- Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers and guests in a friendly, professional manner; respond to inquiries about available amenities or services; proactively offer assistance.
- Restocking and Inventory Management: Restock lobby supplies, keep storage areas organized, maintain accurate inventory records, and log restocking activities daily or as required.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the lobby, food and snack stations, and storage areas remain clean; wipe down surfaces, remove trash, and sanitize high-touch areas; report maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; ensure compliance with health and safety standards for guests and staff.
- Operational Support: Assist with event setup or special requests within the lobby; coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs; support security by monitoring lobby activity and reporting unusual behavior or concerns.
- Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
