As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We’re looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your Risk Management Framework (RMF) knowledge for the Air Force and Space Force.

In this role, you’ll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions. You will leverage your cybersecurity expertise to harden systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and bolster the organization's security posture.

This is an opportunity to use your experience to assess the entire threat landscape. Then you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, whitepapers, and milestones. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems and critical infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Apply RMF knowledge for the Air Force and Space Force
  • Evaluate potential weaknesses and effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions
  • Harden systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and bolster the organization's security posture
  • Assess the entire threat landscape and guide clients through plans of action

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in system security engineering, including applying STIGs
  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing material and non-material system security solutions for SCI environments
  • Experience conducting security assessments, documenting actions, and validating accreditation under RMF
  • Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and accreditation artifacts
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, including ACAS, HBSSS, or Splunk
  • Knowledge of RMF, NISTR 800-53 controls, and DoD cybersecurity policies
  • Ability to design and implement secure architectures for SCI environments
  • Secret clearance

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cyber range design, implementation, and operations, including realistic threat simulations
  • Experience preparing Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools for security tasks, including PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
  • Knowledge of SATCOM or tactical network security
  • Possession of excellent technical writing skills
  • DoD 8140 IAM Level III Certification, including CISSP, CISM, CAP, CEH, GSEC, or related Certification

Compensation and Benefits

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care.
