The Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for various tasks involved in the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse setting. This role typically involves receiving, unpacking, labeling, storing, and picking items according to orders. Warehouse associates may also be involved in inventory management, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and occasionally operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks.

Location & Schedule

Where You’ll Be Working: On-site at the Millcraft division located at:

2830 S Lynhurst Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46241

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, reach truck to pull and prepare outbound customer orders
• Build, wrap, sort, pick, pack, and stage customer orders
• Load outbound delivery trucks and will calls
• Consolidate product to maximize space utilization
• Repackage and/or relabel products due to damages/vendor errors and returns
• Stock received merchandise and/or movement of stock items
• Maintain a clean workspace and contribute to a safe, accident-free facility
• Answer phones and follow up on orders, shortages and/or mistakes

• Ability to read and interpret printed orders and directions
• Demonstrated record of safety and quality control
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Ability to perform duties under minimal direction
• High sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
• Excellent attendance record
• Proficient math skills
• Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check

Physical & Education Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to bend, stoop and climb repeatedly
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1+ years of warehouse experience (preferably in shipping and receiving)
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
