Forklift Operator C Job at Regal Rexnord in Milwaukee

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Fork Truck Driver to support our machine shop operations. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and a strong commitment to workplace safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and documentation of materials.
• Supply machines with raw materials and remove finished parts for further processing or shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as needed.
• Inspect forklifts daily and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Assist with general shop duties such as sweeping, organizing materials, and supporting production staff as needed.
• Communicate effectively with machine operators, supervisors, and logistics personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
• Valid WI Driver’s License.
• Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operation experience, preferably in a machine shop or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with basic machine shop materials.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and safety instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Work Environment

• Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
