What you’ll do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Collaborate with staff, students, and visitors to promote a secure environment within the educational location.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related concerns or emergencies that may arise during the shift.

Minimum requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
