As a Security Guard Armed Government Patrol in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in government locations and other settings. This part-time role offers the flexibility to view and pick up open shifts through our exclusive Claim a Shift platform, helping you build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, deter security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence. Your duties include conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This armed position emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Position details: Part Time; Pay Rate: $27.30 per hour; Work schedule includes Daytime and evenings/overnight shifts on Fridays and Saturdays.

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be prepared to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies; perform emergency response activities as appropriate
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities per Allied Universal and client protocols
• Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents
• Remain alert to potential threats and hazards within the government environment while maintaining a professional presence
• Perform security-related duties as assigned by Allied Universal management or client representatives

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree
• Be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws
• Drug screen as permitted by law
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only
