Responsibilities include front desk coverage, ensuring welcoming and professional experience for employees, applicants, and the public. The HR team works closely with departments across the County, including elected officials and their offices—providing HR guidance on policies, procedures, and employment practices to support our mission of delivering consistent, fair, and service-driven human resources support.

  • Support departments across the County with HR guidance on policies, procedures, and employment practices.

Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $30.01- $35.66 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of HR experience (or a combination of relevant education and experience).
  • Public sector experience (preferred but not required).
  • A PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or PSHRA certification (preferred but not required).
  • A solid understanding of federal and state employment practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Provide reliable front desk coverage with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Support employee committees and engagement efforts to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Are organized and detail-oriented in processing departmental expenses and tracking HR-related costs.
  • Have a solid foundational understanding of office and HR systems and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office applications.
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Are positive, solution-oriented, and capable of multitasking and managing interruptions.
