About the Position
This is a Social Worker position at the 436TH MDG located in Dover, Delaware.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
- Provides evidence-based psychotherapy for a wide variety of complex psychiatric/social problems.
- Establishes treatment plans and annotates adjustments to treatment plans as required over the course of therapy.
- Serves as the subject matter expert (SME), providing consultation to installation leadership and medical professionals regarding clinical needs assessment, determining clinical intervention requirements, and developing implementation strategies.
- Designs, develops, maintains, implements, and evaluates clinical social work service programs.
- Conducts intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments.
- Prepares written evaluation reports with clinical impressions and recommendations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- This position may require the incumbent to work during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate privileges to continue employment.
