UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for an Advanced Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) in the University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. Work involves scrub, monitor, and circulate diagnostic and complex electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic EP studies, device implantations, LAOO and ablations, lead extractions and device implantations. There is no mandatory on-call obligation in the EP Lab; staff sign up for late stays to ensure predictability for cases extending beyond regular hours. Work Schedule
100% FTE, Full-time, 40 hours per week Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm, with rotating day off Department Description
Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services, including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services. No mandatory on-call obligation; optional late stay to complete cases Team is highly experienced in managing risk of complex interventions Access to newest, least invasive therapies not yet offered at other sites in the region Exposure to new cardiac devices not yet publicly available Primary Job Responsibilities
Scrub, monitor, and circulate diagnostic and complex EP procedures Case types include diagnostic EP studies, device implantations, LAOO and ablations Lead extractions and device implantations Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in patient condition Requirements
Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) OR AA degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program AND ARRT registration AND licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where legal requirements do not apply About UW Medical Center – Montlake
