Ochsner Children’s is seeking a board certified/board eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to join its expanding practice in New Orleans, LA. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults for suspected abuse and neglect. Participate in in-person court testimony, depositions, and hearings as required. Receive time and support to provide patient- and family-centric medical evaluations and care. Minimal after-hours phone call coverage. Strong support by leadership and administration. Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible Child Abuse Pediatrics (as specified in the role description). Compensation & Benefits

Ochsner Children’s comprises more than 85 primary care pediatricians within a group of over 290 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists in 27 locations across Louisiana and Mississippi. The system provides a full range of complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and transplantation, advanced GI and Hepatology, Hematology-Oncology and AYA Oncology, and a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group. Ochsner Children’s Hospital includes a 67-bed Level IV NICU, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV, a 4-bed Pediatric EMU, and a 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care unit with a 24-7 pediatric and neonatal transport team. Ochsner Children’s Hospital is constructing a new 5-story Children’s Hospital on the main campus in New Orleans, expected to open at the start of 2028. The system is home to an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and collaborates with Tulane-Ochsner, Tulane University, and the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine (in LCME accreditation). The organization leads in healthcare innovation, including AI-assisted physician messaging and real-time AI-assisted note generation via ambient listening technology.
