The Lee Health Heart Institute Cardiovascular Quality Director is responsible for the management and support of the quality program within the cardiovascular service line. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure standards of care are met and quality outcomes are achieved. The Quality Director will develop and implement quality improvement initiatives across the cardiovascular disciplines, monitor performance metrics including those associated with the National Cardiovascular Data Registry and the Society of Thoracic Surgery, as well as any Key Performance Indicators determined by Heart Institute leadership. The Director will influence the operational leadership team performance and lead the quality staff, providing education, training, and direction related to quality and patient safety. A strong background in cardiovascular care, quality improvement, and excellent communication and leadership skills are desired. Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. A Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in cardiovascular care, with 2 years focused on quality management and process improvement. Experience with data analytics and quality reporting is required. Experience in a cardiovascular leadership role is preferred. Certifications:
A certification in healthcare quality, such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred. License:
